While working with Dundee United FC Community Trust, I was assisting in the creation of social media posts, With also working on my own projects in creating a video that could be shown on social media and uploaded to youtube and, also started the project of building a website of their own for the Community Trust before my contract ended abruptly. With permission from the Community Trust I am allowed to show the work I had done for them, a lot of the work done are mock ups from when I started.
In crafting the prototypes for X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram posts promoting Dundee United Community Trust's (DUCT) Halloween football session, I aimed to capture the spirit of the event and entice the community to participate. The X post featured a concise yet compelling message, leveraging the platform's character limit to convey the excitement of the Halloween-themed football session. I incorporated relevant hashtags and engaging visuals to maximise reach and interaction. With the instagram post my plan was to make the post more appealing. Inviting the DUCT community to join in the festive sports celebration. Through these prototypes, I endeavored to spark enthusiasm and foster community engagement for this unique Halloween football session.
While working at Dundee United Community Trust (DUCT), one of our innovative approaches involved researching holidays and events on specific days of the year to enhance our community engagement. This proactive strategy aimed to align our initiatives with relevant cultural moments, creating a more resonant connection with the community. As part of the team responsible for brainstorming ideas for the Community Trust, I actively contributed to identifying key dates and conceptualising events or campaigns to coincide with them. Subsequently, my role extended to crafting engaging posts for various platforms, ensuring that our messaging was not only informative but also captivating. This initiative allowed DUCT to connect with the community on a deeper level, fostering a sense of shared experience and inclusivity through timely and thematic content.
The creation of this stock video served as a strategic demonstration for the Chief Executive at Dundee United Community Trust (DUCT), illustrating the impactful potential of video content on social media platforms, particularly YouTube. The primary objective was to showcase the diverse initiatives and community support provided by DUCT. Through a carefully curated compilation of footage, we aimed to encapsulate the essence of the Trust's endeavors, highlighting the positive impact on the community. By presenting this video, we aimed to convey how leveraging social media channels, especially YouTube, could effectively communicate the organisation's mission, values, and the tangible ways it contributes to the community's well-being. The stock video became a powerful tool in articulating the narrative of DUCT's commitment and outreach, providing a visual representation of the meaningful work undertaken for the community.
During my tenure at Dundee United Community Trust, I embarked on the ambitious project of creating a website to enhance the organisation's online presence and community engagement. I dedicated time to meticulously crafting wireframes that would serve as the foundation for the website's design and functionality. Unfortunately, the tangible evidence of my creative process, the wireframes, has gone missing, preventing me from showcasing the detailed planning involved in the project.
the unforeseen challenges, I managed to complete the index prototype, which was the culmination of my efforts before my contract was prematurely cut short.
This prototype stands as a testament to the dedication and passion I invested in the project, even in the face of unexpected circumstances. Though the tangible artifacts may have vanished, the commitment to fostering community connections through digital means remains a significant part of my professional journey with Dundee United Community Trust.
